Frequently Asked Questions
Which areas do you cover?
We cover the greater Nicosia area including Strovolos, Lakatamia, Engomi, Aglantzia, Latsia, and surrounding areas. For locations further afield, please contact us to discuss availability.
Can I train while doing home rehab?
In most cases, yes. We design rehab programs that work alongside your training. We'll modify your load, adjust exercises, and give you clear guidelines on what you can and can't do — so you stay active while recovering safely.
What equipment do you bring?
Everything needed for a full session: resistance bands, assessment tools, manual therapy aids, and portable exercise equipment. For sport-specific rehab, we may also bring agility and functional testing tools.
How long is a home session?
Sessions typically last 45-60 minutes, including hands-on treatment, exercise prescription, and sport-specific drills. The first session may be slightly longer as it includes a comprehensive assessment.
How does GESY homecare work?
Your doctor provides a referral for homecare physiotherapy. Treatment sessions are covered by GESY, with a €15 travel surcharge per visit. This applies to patients who are medically unable to travel to the clinic.
Is home physiotherapy as effective as clinic-based treatment?
Yes. Research shows that home-based physiotherapy achieves comparable outcomes to clinic-based care for most conditions. In some cases, it can be more effective because exercises are practised in the environment where you'll actually use them, and adherence tends to be higher when sessions are more convenient.
How much space do I need at home?
A clear area of roughly 2×2 metres is usually enough for a full session. We adapt to your space — whether it's a living room, bedroom, or garden. We bring a portable treatment couch and all necessary equipment, so you don't need to prepare anything special.
Can I combine home visits with clinic sessions?
Absolutely. Many patients start with home visits during the early recovery phase and transition to clinic sessions as their mobility improves. We also offer a blended approach where you alternate between home and clinic based on your weekly schedule and treatment needs.
Do you treat non-sports injuries at home?
Yes. While we specialise in sports and active populations, our home visits also cover general musculoskeletal conditions — back pain, neck pain, post-surgical rehab from joint replacements, and age-related mobility issues. The same clinical standards apply regardless of your condition.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or changes. This allows us to offer the slot to another patient. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. You can reschedule easily by phone or through our online booking system.
