What We Treat

Specialized rehabilitation for the injuries that keep athletes off the field, court, or mat.

ACL & Knee Injuries

ACL/MCL/PCL tears, meniscus injuries, patellofemoral pain. Criteria-based return to sport with objective strength and hop testing.

Ankle & Foot Injuries

Ankle sprains, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, stress fractures. Progressive loading and proprioceptive retraining.

Shoulder & Upper Limb

Dislocations, rotator cuff tears, labral injuries, throwing arm problems. From initial rehab to sport-specific strengthening.

Hamstring & Muscle Tears

Hamstring, quadriceps, and calf strains. Evidence-based loading protocols to rebuild strength and prevent re-injury.

Overuse & Tendon Injuries

Tendinopathies, shin splints, stress reactions. Load management strategies and progressive return to training plans.

Concussion Management

Graduated return-to-play protocols following concussion. Symptom monitoring and safe progression through activity stages.

Our Approach

We combine clinical rehabilitation with strength & conditioning — the way sports rehab should be done.

Criteria-Based Progression

Every stage of your rehabilitation is guided by objective testing — not arbitrary timelines. We use validated strength tests, hop tests, and sport-specific benchmarks to decide when you're ready to progress. This evidence-based approach reduces re-injury risk and builds genuine confidence in your body.

Manual Therapy & Pain Management

Hands-on treatment including joint mobilisation, soft tissue work, dry needling, and taping to manage pain, reduce swelling, and restore range of motion in the early phases. We get you moving comfortably so rehabilitation exercises can be performed effectively.

Progressive Strength Training

Structured loading programs using our on-site gym to rebuild muscle strength, power, and endurance around the injured area. From early isometrics to heavy resistance training — every exercise is purposeful, periodised, and monitored for progress.

Sport-Specific Drills

As you progress, we introduce agility, plyometric, and sport-specific movement drills that replicate the demands of your sport. Cutting, jumping, landing, throwing, sprinting — we prepare your body for the exact movements it will face on the field or court.

Movement Analysis & Correction

Video and clinical movement analysis to identify biomechanical issues that contributed to your injury or could cause re-injury. We correct faulty movement patterns and build robust, efficient movement that protects you long-term.

Coach & Team Collaboration

We communicate with your coach, trainer, or team staff to coordinate your return to training. This ensures your rehabilitation integrates with team schedules, training loads, and competitive timelines — so everyone is aligned on your progress.

How It Works

A structured, criteria-based approach — not a one-size-fits-all timeline.

1

Assessment

Comprehensive injury evaluation, movement analysis, and sport-specific demands assessment. We identify exactly where you are and set objective benchmarks for recovery.

2

Rehabilitation Program

Individualized treatment combining manual therapy, exercise prescription, and progressive loading. Sessions in our clinic and supervised gym work to rebuild strength.

3

Return to Sport

Sport-specific training, agility drills, and objective testing. You return when you meet the criteria — not when the calendar says so.

Your First Visit

What to expect at your initial sports injury assessment.

Duration: 45–60 Minutes

Your first session is a comprehensive assessment — longer than follow-ups to give us a complete picture of your injury, your sport, and your goals. We start treatment in the same session, so you leave with a clear plan and immediate progress.

What to Bring

Any imaging (MRI, X-ray), surgical reports, or specialist letters. Your GESY referral if applicable. Wear sports clothing and bring your training shoes — we'll likely assess your movement. If you have video of the injury happening, bring that too.

Injury & Sport History

We'll discuss your injury mechanism, previous injuries, current symptoms, training load, competition schedule, and position/sport demands. Understanding the full context — not just the injury — is essential for designing the right rehabilitation program.

Physical Assessment

A thorough hands-on examination including range of motion, strength testing, special orthopaedic tests, and functional movement screening. We establish your baseline measurements so progress is objectively tracked throughout rehabilitation.

Your Rehabilitation Roadmap

Before you leave, you'll know: the phase of rehabilitation you're in, what milestones to expect, estimated timelines (based on evidence, not guesswork), and what you can and can't do during recovery. Clear communication — no uncertainty.

Immediate Action Plan

You'll receive a home exercise program tailored to your current phase, guidance on what activities are safe, and load management advice. We don't believe in "just rest" — controlled, progressive loading starts from day one where appropriate.

Pricing

Flexible options to suit your needs — covered by GESY or private sessions.

Private

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does return-to-sport rehabilitation take?
Timelines vary by injury. ACL reconstructions typically require 9-12 months, ankle sprains 6-12 weeks, and hamstring tears 4-12 weeks. At Right Track, return is criteria-based — we use objective strength, movement, and readiness tests rather than calendar dates to ensure you're truly ready.
Can I continue training during rehabilitation?
In most cases, yes. We modify your training program to maintain cardiovascular fitness and upper/lower body strength while protecting the injured area. Our on-site gym allows us to supervise your adapted training alongside your rehabilitation sessions.
What sports injuries do you treat?
We treat all sports injuries including ACL/MCL tears, ankle sprains, hamstring and quadriceps tears, shoulder dislocations, rotator cuff injuries, tennis and golfer's elbow, concussion protocols, and overuse injuries like shin splints and tendinopathies. We work with athletes from football, basketball, martial arts, padel, running, and many other sports.
Is athlete rehabilitation covered by GESY?
Yes. As a GESY-registered physiotherapist (Antonis Petri: A2825), your sports injury treatment can be covered through the national health system. You'll need a referral from your doctor or orthopaedic surgeon. Private sessions are also available from €45 with no referral needed.
Do you work with professional sports teams?
Yes. Our lead clinician Antonis Petri works with competitive athletes and sports teams in Cyprus, and serves as Clinical Practice Supervisor at Frederick University. We collaborate with coaches and strength & conditioning professionals to ensure coordinated care throughout your return to sport.
What makes your approach different from other physiotherapy clinics?
We combine clinical physiotherapy with on-site strength & conditioning — most clinics only offer one or the other. Our criteria-based progression means your return to sport is guided by objective testing, not calendar dates. We also collaborate directly with your coach or team to coordinate your return to training.
How do you decide when I'm ready to return to sport?
We use validated return-to-sport testing batteries specific to your injury and sport. This includes strength testing (limb symmetry index), hop tests, agility assessments, and sport-specific functional tests. You return when you meet objective benchmarks — typically achieving at least 90% limb symmetry and passing sport-specific readiness criteria.
Do you have gym facilities for rehabilitation?
Yes. Our clinic includes an on-site gym equipped for rehabilitation and performance training. This allows us to supervise your strength work, progress exercises under load, and bridge the gap between clinical rehab and full return to training — all in one location.
Can I combine rehabilitation with sports massage?
Absolutely. Many athletes benefit from combining rehabilitation sessions with sports massage for recovery, muscle tension management, and injury prevention. We provide sports massage alongside your rehabilitation program for a comprehensive approach.
What if I'm a recreational athlete, not a professional?
Our programs are for athletes at every level — from weekend warriors and gym-goers to competitive and professional athletes. The rehabilitation principles are the same: evidence-based, criteria-driven, and tailored to your specific sport and goals. Whether you want to return to Sunday football or professional competition, we design your program accordingly.
Where is your sports rehabilitation clinic?
We're at Tseriou 32, Strovolos, Nicosia — with an on-site gym for rehabilitation and performance training. Easy to reach from Engomi, Aglantzia, Latsia, Makedonitissa, and Lakatamia. Street parking available nearby.
